Morrocan Dream, Volaré's fruity powdery scent

Morrocan Dream appears in the Volaré catalogue in 100 ml. The name refers to Morocco without the brand claiming local manufacture: it is an evocation, not an origin.

Fragrance pyramid

  • Top: mandarin, pear
  • Heart: floral bouquet
  • Base: ambrette seed, musk, benzoin

How it develops

Mandarin and pear open on a soft fruity accord, without acidity: pear brings a juicy flesh where a lemon would have cut. An immediately welcoming start.

The floral heart makes the transition without trying to impose itself. The real interest of the composition is in the base: ambrette seeds are a rare material, drawn from a plant of the hibiscus family, whose musky, slightly powdery smell recalls animal musk without its origin. Paired with benzoin, a balsamic, vanilla-like resin, they give the end of the journey a particular, cottony softness.

For whom, when

A fruity musky profile that leans feminine, wearable as unisex by anyone who enjoys powdery musks. It works all year round, with an advantage in the mid-seasons: the ambrette-benzoin base keeps it from vanishing in cool weather, and the fruity opening keeps it light in mild weather.

How to wear it

  • Two to three sprays on the pulse points.
  • Do not rub your wrists: mandarin and pear in the opening are the most volatile.
  • The musky base clings very well to fabric — one spray on a scarf extends the trail by a whole day.
  • On moisturised skin, longevity is better.
