How it unfolds
The opening is unusual: the leather arrives in the very first seconds, whereas it normally sits in the base. Paired with saffron, which itself has a leathery and slightly medicinal facet, it sets the character immediately. Bergamot brings the only fresh note of the opening.
The heart is aromatic and dry: earthy vetiver, spicy cardamom, herbal lavender. This combination is typical of classic masculines — it keeps the leather from becoming stifling.
The amber-musk-patchouli base is warm and tenacious. Patchouli, earthy and slightly camphorous, extends the vetiver; amber and musk bring comfort.

Masculine. Mid-season and winter, day or evening. An office profile that also works in the evening — which is what the expression “all-purpose fragrance”, often used for this kind of construction, covers.
