Liam Grey: a black tea with fig that settles in and stays put
The opening is green and dry. Cardamom gives a jolt of lemony spice, black tea brings a tannic, almost smoky side, and fig arrives right behind with its double facet: the crumpled leaf on one side, the milky pulp on the other. Twenty minutes later, iris has smoothed the angles and laid down a powdery-buttery veil, while vetiver and cistus bring back earth and resin. The base is frankly comfortable — creamy sandalwood, vanilla, almondy tonka bean, patchouli. Warm, hushed, sweet just enough.

Who it is for, and when
Unisex in the strict sense: the tea-fig-iris profile leans neither way, and it is worn equally by men and women.
-
Wear: a clear presence on the skin for a moderate time, noticeably longer on clothing, where it clings remarkably well.
-
Sillage: discreet. It is a skin scent, discovered at a meter’s distance rather than from the other end of the room. If you are looking for a projection bomb, this is not the one.
-
Season: all seasons. It shines in mid-season and in the evening, when the milky fig and the tonka bean come into their own.
-
Occasion: evening, dinner, date, office day. Its discretion makes it one of the few comfortable fragrances in an open-plan office.
-
Worth noting: a recently produced bottle may open a little roughly for the first few seconds; the fragrance rounds out after a few weeks of rest.
How to use
- As its projection is soft, three to four sprays are perfectly reasonable here: neck, wrists, and one on the chest under clothing.
- Do not rub your wrists: cardamom and black tea are the first victims of rubbing.
- One spray on the collar or scarf is the best way to enjoy it all day long.
- If the opening seems biting on arrival, let the bottle rest for two to three weeks away from light before judging it.
- Keep it in its box, at a stable temperature, away from the humidity of a bathroom.
The bottle
100 ml eau de parfum spray. A rectangular clear glass bottle, clean lines, a large gray metal crest in the center and a dark cap: a sober object that sits well on a shelf. Delivered in its cardboard box, under cellophane.

Frequently asked questions
How long does Liam Grey last?
Expect a clear presence on the skin for a moderate time. On a sweater or a jacket, it lasts much longer, which is why it is worth spraying on fabric deliberately.
Its projection is weak, is that normal?
Yes, that is its nature. Liam Grey is built as a proximity fragrance: hushed, textile-like, made to be noticed up close. Increasing the number of sprays is risk-free here, unlike more demonstrative fragrances.
Should I let it rest before judging it?
That is preferable. A freshly produced bottle may open a little abruptly; after two to three weeks of rest, the tea and the fig blend much better into the iris.
Men or women?
Both, without reservation. Tea, fig and iris form a neutral accord.
Which season suits it best?
It can be worn all year. It gives its best in spring, in autumn and in the evening. In a heatwave, the vanilla and the tonka bean can feel a little heavy.
Is the fragrance new and sealed?
Yes. Bottle in its box, under cellophane. Shipped from our European warehouses. Delivery times and options are shown at checkout.
This is typically the fragrance you buy to try and end up keeping as an everyday bottle.
