A translucent blue gel, bouncy under the finger, which melts as soon as it touches the skin. Medicube's Hyaluronic Ceramide Jelly Cream leaves neither a greasy film nor a sticky feel. It suits a rushed morning, under make-up, as well as the evening, when the skin feels tight after the day.

A hyaluronic acid and ceramide cream, fresh but complete

The ingredients list lines up about ten forms of hyaluronic acid and hyaluronates, of different sizes. The largest hold water at the surface, the smallest settle into the upper layers of the epidermis. Together, they leave skin that looks fuller and suppler.

Five ceramides (NP, NS, AP, AS and EOP) work with cholesterol, phytosphingosine and squalane: these are lipids close to those that make up the skin barrier. They limit the feeling of tightness and water loss. Niacinamide, ectoin and allantoin bring comfort, and a few peptides round off the formula. How to use it

As the last step of the routine, take a hazelnut-sized amount and spread it over the face and neck. Pat rather than massage: the texture absorbs better. Morning and evening. In the morning, add sun protection on top.

On evenings when the skin is very dry, a more generous layer serves as a light night cream. It pairs easily with retinol serums or acid serums and brings welcome comfort on evenings with actives.

Which skin is it for?

Dehydrated, combination or oily skin that wants water without fatty ingredients, skin sensitised by actives or by the cold. Its ingredients list does not mention fragrance. Very dry skin may find the texture too light on its own, and can layer it with a richer cream in the evening.

Frequently asked questions

Why is this cream blue?

The bluish tint is that of the gel. It disappears on application and does not colour the skin.

Is it suitable for oily skin?

Yes. Its gel texture melts in without leaving a sticky film. A small amount is enough for the whole face.

Can it be used under make-up?

Yes. Leave it to absorb for a minute or two, then apply sun protection and foundation.

What is the difference from a hyaluronic acid serum?

The serum brings water; the cream, thanks to its ceramides and cholesterol, also helps hold it in. The two complement each other, with the serum first.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Its formula with no declared fragrance, rich in soothing ingredients, is worth trying. Still, do a test on a small area before the first use.

If your skin craves water but cannot stand thick creams, this blue gel makes a light and effective final step. Also discover the other Korean face creams in the range.
