Fakhar Platin extends the Fakhar line from Lattafa with a platinum finish, in 100 ml. The versions in the line are told apart by bottle color, which makes them identifiable at a glance on a shelf — but each has its own composition.
Fragrance pyramid
Top notes: bergamot, pink pepper, cardamom
Heart notes: ginger, lavender, guava
Base notes: palo santo, incense, sandalwood
How it unfolds
The opening is spicy rather than fresh: the bergamot passes quickly, and the pink pepper and cardamom take over.
The heart combines two unexpected registers: ginger, sharp and lemony, lavender, herbaceous, and guava, a tropical fruit with a scent that is both sweet and slightly green. This exotic fruit in the middle of an aromatic accord is what sets Platin apart from the other Fakhar versions.
The base is the most characteristic part: palo santo is a South American wood, sacred to several Andean peoples, with a resinous, slightly lemony and smoky scent. Paired with incense and sandalwood, it gives a spiritual, dry base, very far from the brand’s usual vanilla bases.
Who it’s for, and when
Unisex, leaning masculine. Mid-season and winter; the woody-incense register is equally at home by day or in the evening.
Tips for use
Two sprays: the resinous base is persistent.
Allow the opening to settle before you judge it.
One spray on clothing noticeably extends the sillage.
Store the bottle away from light and heat.
