How it unfolds

The opening is lively and spicy: mandarin gives the citrus, ginger its lemony bite, and pink pepper its facet that is both spicy and slightly fruity. Nothing sweet yet.

The heart turns decisively: praline (caramelized almond) and cocoa. Cocoa in perfumery is not milk chocolate — it is a more bitter, roasted, slightly dusty note. The lavender in the middle of this accord is the surprising choice: herbal and fresh, it keeps the heart from becoming cloying.

The musk-amber-vanilla base rounds everything off and gives it staying power.
