Teriaq Intense is the strengthened version of Teriaq at Lattafa, in 100 ml. The name comes from the Arabic tiryaq, which designated an antidote — a medicinal preparation based on spices and resins. The fragrance’s register echoes it.
Fragrance pyramid
Top notes: bergamot, saffron
Heart notes: plum liqueur, cinnamon
Base notes: tonka bean, amber, benzoin
How it unfolds
Bergamot opens briefly, then saffron immediately takes over with its leathery and slightly medicinal facet.
The heart is the characteristic passage: plum liqueur brings a dark, candied, slightly boozy fruitiness, and cinnamon warms it. It is a cooked-fruit accord rather than a fresh-fruit one.
The base is warm and balsamic: tonka bean (almond, cut hay, vanilla), amber, and benzoin, a resin whose scent evokes vanilla and caramel. It is the most tenacious part.
What “Intense” means
A higher concentration means more fragrance material per milliliter. In practice, use fewer sprays than with the standard version: two sprays of Intense are worth three or four of the classic Teriaq.
Who it is for, and when
Unisex. Fall and winter, evenings. A cold-season fragrance that heat quickly makes heavy.
Usage tips
One to two sprays, no more.
Do not rub your wrists after application.
The trace on woolens lingers for several days.
Store upright, away from light and heat.
