Teriaq 100 ml — Lattafa
Teriaq, in its standard version, as a 100 ml eau de parfum from Lattafa. The name comes from the Arabic tiryaq, which designated an antidote — a medicinal preparation based on spices, honey and resins. It is the reference from which the house built its Intense variant.

How it unfolds
The opening is gourmand from the outset: caramel and bitter almond announce pastry, the apricot brings a candied fruit, and the pink pepper keeps the whole from turning syrupy.
The heart is dominated by honey, a delicate note to handle: too present, it becomes waxy and animalic. Here the rhubarb, green and frankly tart, acts as the counterweight, while rose and white flowers soften.
The base tips the composition from dessert to oriental: leather, labdanum (a warm, ambery resin), earthy vetiver, with vanilla and musk to bind. It is this base that gives Teriaq its thickness.
Teriaq or Teriaq Intense?
Teriaq Intense is not the same formula made stronger: its pyramid is different — saffron, plum liqueur and cinnamon, over a tonka bean and benzoin base. The version described here is the fruitier and more honeyed of the two.
Tips for use
- Two sprays: the leathery-resinous base is persistent.
- Do not rub your wrists together — this crushes the apricot and the pink pepper.
- Autumn and winter preferably: heat amplifies the honey.
- Store the bottle away from light and heat.
