Khamrah is the perfume that lifted Lattafa into another league. Around its date-cinnamon-tonka accord, the house has built a whole line. This page gathers it and explains what sets the four scents apart — because they are four different perfumes, not four concentrations of the same one.
The four Khamrah
Khamrah — the original
- Top: bergamot, cinnamon, nutmeg
- Heart: date accord, lily of the valley, praline, tuberose
- Base: roasted tonka bean, Laos benzoin, myrrh, akigalawood, vanilla, amber wood
The date accord is its signature: a candied, almost boozy fruit over warm spices and a resinous base. A winter and evening scent, worn unisex — and the sweetest of the four.
Khamrah Qahwa — the coffee version
- Top: cinnamon, cardamom, ginger
- Heart: praline, candied fruits, white flowers
- Base: arabica coffee, vanilla, tonka bean, benzoin, musk
Qahwa means "coffee" in Arabic, and the base keeps the promise: arabica over vanilla and tonka, with the cardamom in the opening that recalls Gulf coffee. Less sweet than the original, slightly more bitter, and therefore the easiest to wear during the day.
Khamrah Dukhan — the smoke
- Top: mandarin, chili, smoked spices
- Heart: labdanum, orange blossom, incense, patchouli
- Base: tobacco, amber, tonka bean, benzoin, praline
Dukhan means "smoke". The darkest reading: chili and smoked spices to open, incense in the heart, tobacco in the base. The least consensual — and the favourite of those who love smoky orientals.
Khamrah Waha — the fresh one
- Top: bergamot, juniper, yuzu, ginger
- Heart: iris, cucumber, sage, sea salt accord
- Base: akigalawood, tonka bean, vanilla, musk, Ambrofix
The break in the line: a marine heart — iris, cucumber, salt — that keeps things fresh where the others go for warmth. Waha means "oasis". The only Khamrah you can wear in high summer.
Torn between the original and the coffee version? Our Khamrah vs Khamrah Qahwa comparison (in French) goes through the six differences, longevity and season included.
The other formats
The signature also comes as a body mist (lighter concentration, spray generously), as an alcohol-free musk tahara applied drop by drop, as a fabric spray and a room spray — the last two for fabrics and rooms only, never for skin.
How to wear it
Khamrah is dense: two sprays are enough, a third is usually one too many. The tonka-benzoin base lasts many hours on skin and far longer on fabric — one spray on a scarf or collar extends the trail by a full day. For the cool seasons, except Waha. The longest-lasting scents of the catalogue are listed in our article on long-lasting perfumes (in French).
