Mamlakat Al Oud

Mamlakat Al Oud is an Emirati house based in Deira, Dubai, and despite its name most of its range is not woody: they are musks and powdery florals, in 100 ml bottles. A range split into three distinct lines — Musk Tahara, Durrah and Seerati.

Three lines, three uses

• Musk Tahara — the house's best-selling line: a very clean white musk, declined in scented versions. Tahara Vanilla for milky softness, Blueberry for the fruity side, Lavender for a fresher, aromatic version. Discreet, unisex, wearable every day.
• Durrah — four floral, fruity eaux de parfum recognisable by their coloured bottle: Pearl, Pink, Mauve and Tiffany. More diffusive than the Tahara line.
• Seerati — the gourmand amber vein, with Seerati Lunaire and Seerati Amora. For evenings and the cold season.

Musk tahara: format and application

Here the musk tahara comes as a 100 ml eau de parfum spray, not as a small roll-on bottle. Apply on clean skin, two or three presses; the rendering stays close to the body, without an invasive trail. If you want woody

Two references stand out: Nova Rouge, spicy and amber, and Cotton Rouge, warmer and denser than the Tahara line. Worth remembering if the musks seem too discreet to you.
