Arabian Oud

Arabian Oud is a Saudi house founded in 1982 in Riyadh, and its whole range is built around a single material: oud, surrounded by amber, resins and Taif rose. The house's references are gathered here, from Kalemat and its honey-amber accord to Woody Style, the driest and woodiest of the selection.

Which Arabian Oud to choose?

• Kalemat 50 ml — honey, amber, sandalwood. The easiest to wear in the house, unisex, and the logical entry point into the range.
• Al Fareed 100 ml — oud, leather, dark spices. The densest: one spray is enough, two if you aim for the evening.
• Woody Style 100 ml — cedar, sandalwood, vetiver. Dry woody, discreet, wearable at the office all day.
• Madawi Gold 100 ml — rose, saffron and vanilla on an amber base, the most feminine line of the Arabian Oud catalogue.

Hold, trail and season

These are highly concentrated eaux de parfum, in the tradition of Gulf houses: the woody-amber base stays perceptible for hours after application. Two sprays at the base of the neck and on the wrists are enough. On a wool or cotton garment, the trail holds noticeably longer than on skin — useful for the heaviest juices such as Al Fareed or Arabian Knight. Oud and leather compositions come into their own in autumn and winter; Woody Style and Kalemat get through summer without difficulty.
