Asad Collection set — four 25 ml perfumes
This set gathers the four eaux de parfum of Lattafa's Asad line, in 25 ml bottles. It is the simplest way to compare the versions side by side before committing to a large bottle — and the format is small enough to travel.
All four share a taste for dark bases and roasted notes, but they are four distinct compositions, not four concentrations.
The fruity-roasted contrast that made the reference's success: pineapple opens sharp, coffee and tobacco take over.
Asad Zanzibar — the marine one
Top: black pepper, lavender
Heart: coconut water, iris, salt
Base: vanilla, incense
The salty coconut-water accord and the iris make it the only Asad wearable in summer.
Asad Bourbon — the gourmand one
Top: mirabelle plum, pink pepper, lavender
Heart: cocoa, nutmeg, davana
Base: Bourbon vanilla, amber, vetiver
Cocoa in the heart and Bourbon vanilla in the base; davana, an Indian plant with a fruity, slightly winey scent, gives it its character. Vetiver avoids the dessert effect.
Asad Elixir — the driest one
Top: pink pepper, saffron, grapefruit
Heart: tobacco, vanilla, cedarwood
Base: patchouli, olibanum, cashmeran, amber
Saffron in the opening, incense and dry amber in the base: the least sweet and most resinous reading of the four.

A discovery set serves two purposes. As a gift, it avoids betting on a taste you do not know. Bought for yourself, it lets you wear each version for several days before deciding — the only reliable way to judge a perfume, since skin noticeably changes the result from one person to another.
