Pink shell, firm grip, a wider head than the Mini: the Booster Pro X2 is made for anyone who wants a varied device routine from one evening to the next. It works on its own with its built-in modes and goes further once paired via Bluetooth with the AGE-R app.
A Korean face device with seven modes
Medicube keeps the four modes of the Booster Pro and adds three:
- Booster: electroporation, used over your serum, for a more radiant complexion and a skincare product that, according to the brand, absorbs better.
- MC: microcurrent, used over a skincare product, for skin that looks plumper.
- Derma Shot: electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), for a face contour that looks better defined.
- Air Shot: on bare skin, for the look of pores and skin texture.
- Mask: over a soaked fabric sheet mask, never over a gel mask.
- Dual: two modes at once, with combinations chosen in the app.
- AI: the app suggests a routine based on your skin and your habits.
The intensity is adjustable across six levels. Microcurrent and EMS give a visible tightening effect and a feeling of toned skin, but independent studies on home devices remain scarce. Count on the consistency of an enjoyable ritual, not on a transformation.
How to use it
Cleanse the skin. For Booster, MC, Derma Shot and Dual, first apply a serum or a cream in a generous layer: the head must glide. Air Shot is used without skincare and less often than the other modes; Mask is used over a fabric sheet mask. Start at the lowest level, move the device slowly without lingering on the same spot, and follow the durations given in the manual or the app. If you use exfoliating acids, retinol or a concentrated vitamin C, the brand advises introducing the device gradually, or even avoiding it with these actives if your skin is sensitive.
Which skin it suits
The X2 suits adults who are already familiar with beauty devices, or ready to follow a guided routine. Sensitive skin can use it at low intensity, spacing out the sessions. It is not suitable for children, nor for damaged or irritated skin, or skin during a breakout of spots. For a serum to layer underneath, see the Medicube range and the anti-ageing and firmness selection.
