Dr. Althea
A white fluid that becomes invisible after a few passes of the fingers, with a fresh finish, neither greasy nor chalky. It goes on in the morning like a light cream and leaves the skin ready to receive make-up. For those who forget their sunscreen because it feels sticky, that is a strong argument.
A Korean SPF50+ sunscreen with green tea water
The version sold in Europe shows an SPF50+ and a PA++++. The protection relies on four latest-generation organic filters, which cover UVB and UVA. There are no mineral filters in the list: no zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, hence the absence of a white cast on tan skin.
Around the filters, the formula works on comfort. Green tea leaf water serves as the base, niacinamide helps even out the look of the complexion, and several centella derivatives (leaf and root extracts, asiaticoside, madecassic acid) combine with houttuynia extract to calm the look of redness. A little vitamin E and PDRN complete the list. No fragrance is added.
How to use
It is the last step of the morning routine, after the moisturiser. Take a generous amount, the equivalent of two finger lengths for the face and neck, and spread it fifteen minutes before going out. A few rules apply to any sunscreen:
- reapply every 2 hours, and after swimming, sweating or towelling;
- avoid exposure during the sunniest hours;
- do not expose babies or young children to the sun;
- no sunscreen offers total protection: a hat, sunglasses and shade remain useful.
In the evening, remove it with an oil cleanser or a double cleanse.
Which skin is it for
Sensitive skin that flushes easily, combination to oily skin that avoids thick textures, and anyone who wants an everyday sunscreen under make-up. It is not made for young children. If you react to certain organic filters, read the list before buying.

Frequently asked questions
Chemical or mineral filter?
Only organic filters, often called chemical. This is what gives it its transparency.
What does PA++++ mean?
It is an Asian scale that measures protection against UVA. Four plus signs correspond to the highest level on this scale.
Can I apply it under make-up?
Yes. Leave it to dry for a minute before the foundation so that it does not slip.
Is it suitable for children?
It is designed for adults. Babies and young children must not be exposed to the sun.
Do I need to remove it in the evening?
Yes, like any sun filter. A first cleanse with an oil, then a gentle cleanser, is enough.
A sunscreen you want to reapply is a sunscreen that protects: find this one and other light textures in our selection of Korean sunscreens.
