How it develops

The opening is opulent: green, spicy and fruity at once, with saffron adding its leathery warmth from the first minutes. The heart is richer still — the herbal note of rosemary, a romantic rose and a tropical fruit carry the same contrast a step further. The base is where Taraf shows its rank: a tarred, almost dried-tobacco warmth from the leather, the saline warmth of amber and the earthy depth of patchouli. A hot wind, as the best high-end Gulf orientals know how to produce.

For whom, when

Unisex in the Gulf tradition, with a masculine lean in Europe because of the leather base. Cold season, evenings and occasions: this is a perfume to mark an event or to give as an exceptional gift, not a daily office scent.

How to wear it
