Lattafa is the house that made Arabian perfume famous in Europe. Founded in the United Arab Emirates in 1980, it produces highly concentrated eaux de parfum at prices far below luxury perfumery — and some of its names, Khamrah, Yara, Asad, Badee Al Oud, have become household words. • Khamrah — candied date, cinnamon, tonka bean. The spicy gourmand that made the brand famous; also available as Qahwa (coffee), Dukhan (smoky) and Waha (fresh).
• Yara — musk, vanilla, milky notes. The softest scent of the house and the natural entry point for women; also as Candy, Moi and Tous.

Most Lattafa scents are worn by both; "For Men" and "For Women" describe the bottle more than a boundary. For men: Asad, Fakhar For Men, Qaed Al Fursan, Raghba, Ameer Al Oudh, Teriaq. The 100 ml eau de parfum is the standard, sometimes 90 ml (Qaed Al Fursan) or 60 ml (Ana Abiyedh). 4 x 25 ml sets — Asad Collection, Opulent Series, Yara — let you try a whole line. The best-selling accords also exist as alcohol-free musk oil (Musc Yara 10 ml), as 150 ml body mist and as 300 ml room spray (Khamrah, Yara, Raghba), meant for rooms and fabrics only.

How to wear a Lattafa

High concentrations: two sprays are enough, three for the evening, a fourth annoys without adding longevity. Gourmands and ouds are at their best from October to April; fresh and musky scents work all year. One spray on a collar or scarf lasts several days. Do not rub your wrists together after applying.
