Lotus Satin joins the RP Paris textile spray range. Its name refers to two things at once: the lotus, a water flower with a clean, slightly watery scent, and satin, which conveys the texture being sought — smooth and soft rather than heady.
The technique: a veil, not a puddle
This is the only real technique to know with a textile spray. Sprayed too close, the product settles in drops: the fabric becomes damp in places, the scent turns uneven and the risk of a ring mark increases. Sprayed from around 20 centimeters, in motion, it settles as a fine mist and dries almost immediately. The difference in result between the two gestures is striking.
A simple rule of thumb: if you see the fabric darken, you are too close or you are overdoing it.
Where to use it
Curtains and sheers — the best surface: the light fabric re-diffuses at the slightest movement of air.
Bedding — one press on the duvet cover or the bed canopy, never on the pillowcase where the face rests.
Mid-season jackets — on the lining and the inside of the collar rather than on the outside.
Wardrobe and dressing room — one press into the closed space, door shut, scents the whole without touching the clothes directly.
Test on a hidden area before first use, and avoid silk, light velvet and leather. This product is not an eau de parfum and is not applied to skin.
