The Musc Vanilla by El Nabil in a 6 ml car diffuser, to hang from the rear-view mirror. Floral top notes, a vanilla heart and an amber base: a warm, gourmand register.

Vanilla holds up well in a car interior and is noticed above all when the door is opened. Best kept for winter journeys rather than for the big heat, when the gourmand side can become overpowering.

How a car diffuser works

The principle is slow evaporation: the concentrate diffuses continuously through a wick, with no electricity or added heat. The temperature of the cabin is enough, which explains why diffusion intensifies in full sun and slows down in winter.

The practical consequence: a diffuser lasts noticeably longer if the car stays cool, and empties quickly if it is parked in the sun all day.

Usage tips

Hang it from the rear-view mirror or an air vent grille, out of the line of sight.
Do not open the bottle completely at once: a partial opening extends its lifespan.
The first day is always the most intense — let it settle before judging.
Avoid contact with dashboard plastics and varnished surfaces: the concentrate can mark them.
If it spills, wipe it up immediately.
