Hamraa 100 ml, eau de toilette — Ard Al Zahrat
Hamraa is the classic version of the line of the same name from Ard Al Zahrat, a perfume house from the United Arab Emirates: a unisex eau de toilette. Hamraa means “the red one” in Arabic. This version is recognisable by its black box with midnight-blue highlights, framed by a gold border, with the name in calligraphy at the centre. It should not be confused with Hamraa Ahwa, the variation in a burgundy box: these are two distinct fragrances.
What we know about its composition
Ard Al Zahrat does not publish an olfactory pyramid for Hamraa. In the absence of a reliable source, we do not reproduce the lists of notes found online. The format, on the other hand, is clear: an eau de toilette, a lighter concentration than an eau de parfum. The fragrance projects clearly as soon as it is sprayed, then becomes more discreet as the day goes on.
Who it’s for, when to wear it
Hamraa is presented as unisex, to be worn by a woman or a man alike. Its eau de toilette format makes it suited to everyday wear: a working day, lunch, an outing in town. Those who like to change fragrance with their mood can alternate it with Hamraa Ahwa, its variation from the same line.
How to use
Hold the bottle about fifteen centimetres away and spray three to four times: on the nape of the neck, the wrists and the upper chest. Do not rub your wrists together; let it air-dry. To see you through a long day, add a touch-up in mid-afternoon rather than overdoing it in the morning. Store the bottle upright, cap closed, in a cool, dark place; a warm, humid bathroom is not ideal.
