Hayaam Eau de Parfum 100 ml — Niche Emarati Perfumes

Hayaam belongs to Niche Emarati Perfumes, a line signed by Lattafa, as the bottle’s label indicates. It is a unisex eau de parfum with an aquatic woody register: a marine, salty opening, a heart of lily of the valley and iris, a base of ambergris, oakmoss and sandalwood. The curved bottle, sheathed in black, is topped with a spiked cap.

Fragrance pyramid

  • Top notes: marine notes, salt, lemon, davana
  • Heart notes: lily of the valley, iris
  • Base notes: ambergris, oakmoss, sandalwood

How it unfolds

The first sprays evoke the seaside air: marine notes, a salty edge, lemon zest. Davana, an aromatic plant from southern India, adds a fruity, almost liqueur-like nuance. The heart brightens with lily of the valley, fresh and green, and softens with iris, slightly powdery. The base darkens: ambergris prolongs the salty effect, oakmoss brings a green touch, sandalwood a creamy roundness.

Who it’s for, and when

Hayaam is for men and women who like fresh fragrances without turning purely citrus. It is at its best from spring to late summer, at work or on holiday, and stays restrained enough for a summer evening.

How to use

Two sprays on the nape and one on the chest are enough, from about fifteen centimetres away. Avoid rubbing: the marine top note is the most fleeting part of the fragrance. Store the bottle away from the sun.

Frequently asked questions

Is it a fresh or an oriental fragrance? Rather fresh: the marine notes, salt and lemon dominate the opening. The base of ambergris and sandalwood nonetheless gives it more warmth than an eau de cologne.

What does the “by Lattafa” mention mean? Niche Emarati Perfumes is a line of the Lattafa house, whose name appears on the label, beneath that of the line.
