Oudh Nabeel Black bakhoor 60 g — Nabeel
The Emirati house Nabeel presents Oudh Nabeel Black in a 60 g jar: dark wood chips impregnated with scented oils, to heat on charcoal or an electric burner. Despite its name, this is not a smoky, resinous oud: the brand classes it in the floral woody musky family.

How it unfolds
On the embers, the first wisps are lively, lemony and herbal. Lavender, geranium and sage then take over, lifted by a hint of cinnamon. When the smoke settles, a clean base of musk and moss remains in the room and on fabrics, softened by coumarin.

How to use
Place a charcoal in your mabkhara, light it and wait until it glows red and is covered with white ash. Place one or two chips on the embers: the smoke develops within seconds. An electric burner works as well. To scent a garment, hold it above the smoke, at a good distance. Close the jar after use.
